Greece

My first big trip after college was spending 8 days in Greece. I took my friend Kiara; we went to Athen, Mykonos, and Santorini. A lot happened on this trip both good and bad, it was pretty epic. Everyone loved us and treated us like royalty. Everyone there thought we were Brazilian at first , till we told them we were American, which of course they thought was pretty cool. Foreign people love Americans… unless your French lol. The Greeks are genuinely nice people and are super hospitable. Our first day there people were helping us to our hotel and giving us directions. This guy we met at a restaurant showed us around Athens nightlife. People always stopped to talk to us. A man overheard us talking about the Zeus temple on the street, and stopped what he was doing to take us there and gave us a whole history lesson. He didn’t want anything in return. In Mykonos, we got an ATV and we went to Super Paradise Beach nightclub where we met our Albanian friend Ismail. The Greeks have great music but Greek girls can’t dance lol. So with a lot of alcohol and a lot of twerking we managed to make a lot of friends that night. Unfortunately, on our way back home at 4am, Kiara and I ran out of gas on our ATV because we didn’t realize they use liters and not gallons lol. These Greek boys stopped on the side of the rode, helped us hide our ATV and gave us a ride to our hotel, and didn’t want anything in return. Kiara and I were doing donuts on our ATV the next day and we got into a bad accident, with the ATV turning on its side and throwing Kiara and I off of it. I was fine with minor scratches, but Kiara got a pretty bad gash in her foot and bad scratches on her leg. We missed our yacht the next morning on her birthday and Kiara was pretty bummed. So I asked the beach restaurant manager to sing happy birthday and come out with a giant martini drink. He knew a doctor and he called him and had him come to the beach and give Kiara ointment for her cut, free of charge! It was an amazing experience and I would love to go back!
